About the author
“Get the job done, by any means necessary.”
Backstory
My first major role as a social media lead at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre was ambitious and relied heavily on scrappy resourcefulness—teaching me to find the perfect image, even if it meant literally camping out on a roof. This relentless creative hustle is why I have a visceral allergy to the wave of generic, AI-patterned content; I refuse to compromise on creating great content that resonates and has the human edge that so many agencies are letting slip away. That obsession with authenticity is why my superpower is a journalist’s sensitivity to storytelling, allowing me to instantly find the “hook” and deeply understand the client’s narrative.
On the Lookout For
The challenge I love is diving into uncharted markets and new territories, where the process of building the first piece of content that gets the client raving is my true dopamine hit. I’ve always been obsessed with new technology—from joining Twitter on launch day to picking up ChatGPT 3.5 the day it released—and love being in front of the wave. Aside from writing, I ideate and plan SEO-rich articles and enrich poorly performing content to take it from zero to 100. A world-class result is content that hits the right notes with both the client and the audience, effectively driving conversions and commercial goals.
The Blueprint
- Education: York University (Communications and Sociology) — Combining a decade of experience as a music journalist for outlets like HipHopDX and XXL Magazine with a formal foundation in human communications.
- Experience: Over a decade in marketing and communications
- Career Highlights: Leveraged a scrappy, entrepreneurial mindset from his time at Harbourfront Centre to architect successful search strategies for Polaron Solar and LendCare Canada.
- Offline Mode: The precision and technical application required for CAD design and laser-engraving are the same structured and detail-oriented skills I bring to content strategy and execution.
