Senior Automation Architect
Engineering - Consulting

This isn’t a standard job posting. It’s a confidential search for a new kind of architectural strategist.
At ProductiveShop, we are redefining the relationship between B2B SaaS companies and their growth partners. We’ve moved beyond the broken agency model. We are a team of full-stack growth engineers who architect and build autonomous, AI-driven growth systems that become permanent assets for our clients.
We operate exclusively with some of the most important B2B SaaS firms in the world, acting as the bridge between boardroom strategy and the codebase. We are their unfair advantage. And we are looking for the architect who will design those advantages.
The Opportunity: Architect of Your Client’s Unfair Advantage
You won’t be managing campaigns or writing reports full of vanity metrics. You will be the mastermind behind proprietary growth engines. You will engage directly with the leadership of our client companies—CEOs, CTOs, and VPs of Growth—who are frustrated by the gap between what marketing promises and what engineering can deliver.
Your role is to eliminate that friction. You will diagnose their business, map their processes, and design the blueprints for intelligent systems that multiply the value of their existing data, technology, and teams. You are the External Growth R&D they’ve always needed but couldn’t find.
What You’ll Architect:
- Design proprietary, AI-powered growth engines that solve complex challenges in SEO, paid media, analytics, and content strategy.
- Translate high-level business objectives from SaaS leaders into detailed, technical blueprints for agentic workflows.
- Orchestrate a workforce of specialized AI agents, determining the right models (GPT-4o, Claude 3, Gemini), prompts, and logic chains to create autonomous systems.
- Own the solution from concept to delivery, serving as the strategic bridge between the client’s vision and our developer’s execution.
- Act as a true strategic partner, providing the clarity and foresight that helps our clients de-risk their growth investments and win their market.
Who You Are:
- You are a strategist who can build. You think in terms of systems, not just tactics.
- You are fluent in the language of B2B SaaS—you understand MRR, LTV, and pipeline—and can speak with equal confidence to a CEO and a lead engineer.
- You possess a deep, almost intuitive understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and how to chain them together for complex reasoning and tasks.
- You have a commanding knowledge of LCNC platforms like n8n and Make.com, knowing exactly where their power lies and where custom code is needed.
- You understand APIs, webhooks, and data structures as the fundamental building blocks of modern business.
- You have a working knowledge of JavaScript or Python—not to write every line of code, but to know what’s possible and lead the technical conversation.
Technical Expertise & Platforms
To architect these intelligent growth systems, you must be a master of the modern B2B SaaS technology landscape. We expect deep, hands-on expertise across the following stack:
1. AI & Large Language Models (LLMs):
- Core Models: Deep, practical knowledge of the capabilities, costs, and limitations of leading models such as OpenAI’s GPT-4o, Anthropic’s Claude 3 Opus, and Google’s Gemini 1.5 Pro.
- Agentic Frameworks: Proven experience designing and implementing agentic workflows. Familiarity with frameworks like LangChain and LlamaIndex is a strong asset, as is the ability to design custom agent logic.
- Advanced Techniques: Commanding understanding of Advanced Prompt Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, and the principles of model fine-tuning.
2. Automation & Integration (LCNC):
- Expert-Level Proficiency: Mastery of Low-Code/No-Code platforms, particularly n8n and Make.com. You must know how to push these platforms to their absolute limits and, critically, know when to transition to custom code.
- Workflow Orchestration: Ability to design, build, and maintain complex, multi-step automations that are robust, scalable, and observable.
3. Programming & Scripting:
- Core Languages: Professional working knowledge of Python (preferred for its AI/ML ecosystem) and/or JavaScript (Node.js). This is not for day-to-day coding but for architecting solutions, performing code reviews, and leading technical discussions with developers.
- API Interaction: Fluency in consuming REST and GraphQL APIs and processing JSON data structures is non-negotiable.
4. Data & Infrastructure:
- Essential Connectors: Deep familiarity with APIs, Webhooks, and data synchronization patterns as the fundamental glue of modern systems.
- Database Fundamentals: A solid understanding of data storage principles, including both SQL and NoSQL databases, to inform the design of data-intensive growth engines.
5. Domain-Specific Platforms:
- Marketing & Analytics: Hands-on experience with the APIs of core B2B growth platforms, including Google Analytics (GA4), Google Ads, HubSpot, Salesforce, Ahrefs, and SEMrush.
- Cloud Services: Familiarity with foundational cloud services (e.g., serverless functions like AWS Lambda or $Google Cloud Functions) for executing custom code within your architectures.
6. Visual Architecture & Diagramming:
- Diagram Tools: Good experience with Mural.co or similar visual collaboration and diagramming tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Whimsical, or Miro). Ability to clearly articulate complex AI workflows, system designs, and automation architectures in a collaborative visual format.
If you’re looking for a traditional clock-in and clock-out job, this isn’t it. If you believe growth is an engineering problem, not just a marketing one, we should talk.
